About the National Center for Lesbian Rights

The National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) is a lesbian-led feminist national legal resource center with a primary commitment to advancing the rights and safety of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and their families through a program of litigation, public policy advocacy, and public education.

NCLR litigates precedent-setting cases at the trial and appellate court levels, advocates for equitable public policies affecting the LGBT community, provides free legal information to clients and their legal advocates, and conducts community education on LGBT legal issues. Each year, they serve more than 5,000 lesbians, gay men, and bisexual, and transgender individuals in all fifty states.
