In May 2010, the IRS announced some major changes to how it treats the tax returns of same-sex couples, including changes to the rules regarding community property. As we head into tax season, the National Center for Lesbian Rights, along with our colleagues at Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF), Equality California (EQCA), Our Family Coalition, and San Francisco LGBT Center, is here to help you make sense of all these changes and how they can benefit you—including retroactively, in some cases!
Join our panel of experts on January 12th from 6:30-8:00PM as they talk you through the changes and what it means for same-sex couples, and then get all your questions answered.
Panel of Experts:
- Karen K. Stogdill, EA, CEBS
- D. Chris Kollaja, CPA
- Deb L. Kinney, Esq.
With Pat Cain, JD, Moderator
San Francisco LGBT Center

Event is free and open to the public. RSVP by January 12th to Kris Hermanns at khermanns@nclrights.org (with “Tax Workshop” in the subject line) or 415.365.1302.
