DLKLawGroupPC has joined an “amicus” brief advising the Supreme Court of the impact of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) upon the American employer.
We are honored to be one of the leading 278 businesses, cities, and other employers, along with organizations that represent employers in this brief. We want a simple rule: that the federal government will not hinder an employer from treating all of its married employees in the same way. We remain hopeful that the Supreme Court will rectify this situation by June, 2013. To see the PDF of our brief, please click here: SCOTUS – Windsor employer amicus brief DLKLawGroup.
